FAQs – Purchasing a Home

In the case of a purchase, we review the offer to purchase and review with you the contract of sale prepared by the seller’s attorney, discuss the report of the results of the home inspection, draft, if needed, a rider to the contract of sale, discuss issues related to ordering a survey, title insurance and homeowner’s insurance, coordinate the exchange of documents and information required by your lending institution, if any, review the title report, prepare a preliminary closing statement which outlines anticipated tax adjustments and estimates closing expenses, coordinate a closing date and time with all necessary parties, attend the closing, prepare a final closing package, and send you the recorded deed and final title policy.
